This year we are again collecting food donations for our local food banks.
Our team will be gradually filling our collection boxes and we hope that our clients will help too. With the recent increase in the cost of living, as well as the colder seasons requiring more energy to be used to heat homes and cook food, now more than ever our local food banks are in high demand for those essential items that could make the difference between someone eating or not.
Of course we understand that recent economic times has hit us all to some degree, and if this means that you cannot contribute to the collection, then we really do understand. In fact, even within Thornton Jones, we have set up an internal and fully confidential process should any of our team be struggling to put food on the table.
The Trussell Trust have announced that this is “no longer a cost of living crisis, it’s an emergency”. So now is the time for us to dig deep and help those who are most in need.
