Amanda is one of our most experienced solicitors having qualified as a solicitor in 1992. Originally focusing on criminal law, she subsequently trained and developed her skills in Family Law and became an accredited mediator.
Previously at Green Williamson Solicitors, Amanda joined Thornton Jones in 2015 as a family mediator before further expanding her expertise and transferring to our Private Client department in 2017.
Amanda continues to study and gain further qualifications. She has completed part of the STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification and has progressed her career to become our Head of Private Client department in 2023 with a keen interest and specialising in tax and trusts.
Outside of work Amanda is married with two grown up children and four dogs. Amanda is a trustee of Wakefield Hospice and loves to do charity work and volunteering and keeps fit and healthy with regular spin classes and walking. She also loves reading, shopping and baking.
